It is very likely that the Edgeworth residence in Aughna was the one that Francis Geelan originally had.²

Thomas Diffley replaced John Diffley as the Land Holder from 1853 to 1855 at Clooncarreen, Mohill, Co Leitrim, Ireland. While we can say that John died in 1854, he remained listed as the holder of his plot in Clooncarreen until 1868, as far as the records of Lord Leitrim were concerned. However the estate records did note that John was deceased by 1854 and that by 1855 he had been replaced as occupier by his son Thomas.⁴

She was baptized on 8 July 1854 at Mohill, Co Leitrim, Ireland. On 8 July 1854 a child named Mary Mahon was baptised in an unknown place . Her father was Patrick. With no other matching entries around the right time, it is assumed to be the correct girl.¹ As of 24 January 1878,her married name was Diffley.²
Maria Mahon married John Diffley, son of Peter Diffley and Mary Murray, on 24 January 1878 at Chapel Lane, Mohill, Co Leitrim, Ireland. The witnesses were Edward O'Neill (probably of Clooncarn) and Ellen Mahon (probably a sister of the bride.)² Maria Mahon and John Diffley had 10 children. According to the 1911 Census, all of them were still alive in 1911. Nine of these are known and listed. The other is currently unknown.³

He immigrated circa 1910 to U.S.A.. According to his Immigration papers from 1913 James first visited the U.S. in 1910. Perhaps this was for his sister Mary's wedding?³ At some point between 1910 and 1913 James returned to Ireland.³ He immigrated on 3 November 1913 to Ellis Island, New York, New York, U.S.A.. James stated he was going to visit his sister Mrs Devine in Chicago.³
